C. Bryan Daniels - Founding Principal
Bryan Daniels formed Prairie Capital with Steve King in 1997, and shares overall management responsibility for Prairie Capital with Steve. Bryan is responsible for deal generation and overseeing due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiation, along with fundraising and investor relations.
Bryan also has portfolio management responsibility for Prairie Capital, and is currently a director for seven Prairie Capital portfolio companies, including Creditors Interchange, EIC Holdings, Estes-Cox, ProVest, Security Technologies, Shan Industries and Titanium Solutions.
Prior to establishing Prairie Capital, Bryan was a Senior Vice President of commercial banking at American National Bank & Trust Company, an $8 billion subsidiary of Bank One (now part of JP Morgan Chase). Overseeing more than $70 million in preferred stock investments in this division, he also served on the Investment Committee of ANB Mezzanine.
Bryan graduated magna cum laude from Wabash College with a BA in Mathematics and Chemistry. He received a MBA from the University of Chicago, with concentrations in finance and accounting, and thereafter completed his MS in Computer Science at the University of Chicago. Bryan is a Visiting Committee Member of the Physical Sciences Department at the University of Chicago. He lives in Winnetka with his wife and three children.

Stephen V. King - Founding Principal
Steve King formed Prairie Capital with Bryan Daniels in 1997, and shares overall management responsibility for Prairie Capital with Bryan. Steve is responsible for deal generation and overseeing due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiation, along with fundraising and investor relations.
Steve also has portfolio management responsibility for Prairie Capital, and currently participates on the board of five of Prairie Capital's portfolio companies, including EIC Holdings, Goldsmith, Insource, Nicoat and Pioneer. Prior to founding Prairie Capital, Steve led the formation of ANB Mezzanine Corporation (then a subsidiary of First Chicago Corporation), serving as its President from 1994 to 1997. Previously, he held positions of increasing responsibility with American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago.
Steve graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in Finance. He received his MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Chicago and his JD from Loyola University. Steve is a past chairman of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies and is also a former President of the Midwest Regional Association of SBICs. He lives in Evanston with his wife and four children.

Darren M. Snyder - Managing Director
Darren Snyder joined Prairie Capital in 1998. He has marketing, direct investment, and portfolio management responsibilities for Prairie Capital.
Darren has over 15 years of experience in financing and growing middle-market companies, directly leading over a dozen equity and mezzanine investments over the past nine years with the firm. He currently maintains board responsibility for Pioneer Metal Finishing, Colorbok, Plastimayd, and GPA and acts as Chairman of National Industrial Coatings.
Darren has served on the board of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies (NASBIC), and is a former President of the Midwest Regional Association of SBICs. He is also on the executive committee and is a board member of the Illinois Venture Capital Association (IVCA), currently serving as Treasurer, and as Co-chair of the legislative committee, as well as serving on the board of its political action committee.
Before joining Prairie Capital, Darren worked closely with privately-held businesses as a Vice President for American National Bank and Trust Company (now part of J.P Morgan Chase). Prior to joining American National, Darren was a commercial underwriter for an insurance company, and owned and operated a family-held business.
Darren graduated magna cum laude from Drake University with a BA in Economics. He received an MBA from the University of Chicago. He lives in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago with his wife and the couple's two boys. Darren also sits on the founding board of Polaris Charter Academy.

Christopher T. Killackey - Managing Director
Chris Killackey currently serves as a Managing Director for Prairie Capital, and is responsible for deal generation, overseeing due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiation.
Chris also has portfolio management responsibility for Prairie Capital, and is currently a director for seven Prairie Capital portfolio companies, including Buy-Rite, Mortgage Contracting Services, ProVest, Titanium Solutions, Plastimayd, Navman, and Double E.
Prior to joining Prairie Capital in 1999, Chris was a Director of Chicago-based Banc One Mezzanine Corporation (now part of Chase Mezzanine), a $100 million wholly owned subsidiary of Bank One Corporation that made subordinated debt investments in middle-market companies nationally. Prior to joining Banc One Mezzanine in 1998, Chris spent seven years with American National Bank, most recently as a Vice President. While with American National Bank, Chris's experiences included financing leveraged buyouts and financial restructurings and managing an asset-based lending portfolio of middle market companies.
Chris graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in finance. He received an MBA from the University of Chicago with concentrations in finance, accounting, entrepreneurial finance and strategic management. Chris and his wife live with their two daughters in downtown Chicago.

Steven J. Groya - Managing Director
Steve Groya joined Prairie Capital in 2001 and is responsible for deal generation, structuring, due diligence, closing, and monitoring portfolio investments. He also serves on the board of directors for several of Prairie Capital's portfolio companies, including Creditors Interchange, Estes-Cox, Fortis Business Media, and Regency Beauty Institute.
Before joining Prairie Capital, Steve was an associate with William Blair Capital Partners as well as Vice President of Operations for a contract manufacturer of health and beauty aid products. He began his career as an analyst with William Blair's corporate finance department and as a staff accountant in the Chicago office of Ernst & Young.
Steve graduated with honors from Michigan State University with a BA in Accounting. He received his MBA in Finance from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. Steve lives in Elmhurst with his wife and two sons.

Nathan J. Good - Vice President
Nate Good joined Prairie Capital in 2002. His primary responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating potential investments, structuring transactions, leading due diligence, negotiating transaction and financing agreements, and managing portfolio company investments.
Nate has participated in twelve transactions on behalf of Prairie, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for two portfolio companies: Navman Wireless and Fortis Business Media. In addition, he maintains portfolio responsibility for Nicoat, EIC, and Colorbök. Nate also formerly served as a Director of Kifco.
Prior to joining Prairie, Nate was a Senior Analyst at BMO Nesbitt Burns Equity Partners, Bank of Montreal's middle-market private equity fund. He began his career as an Analyst in Credit Suisse First Boston's Investment Banking Division, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions advisory and debt and equity financings in the Global Industrial and Services Group.
Nate graduated with honors from the University of Illinois with a BA in Accountancy. He earned an MBA from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business. Nate and his wife live with their daughter on Chicago's near north side.

Sean M. McNally - Vice President
Sean McNally joined Prairie Capital in 2004 and assists with evaluating, structuring, due diligence and financial modeling of investment opportunities. In addition to these transaction responsibilities, Sean serves on the board of directors for Prairie portfolio companies Chicago Deferred Exchange, Double E, and Goldsmith, and maintains portfolio responsibility and board observation roles for MCS, Plastimayd, ProVest, and Titanium Solutions.
Prior to joining Prairie Capital, Sean was an Analyst in the Business Services Group in the corporate finance department of William Blair & Co., focusing on mergers and acquisitions advisory and public and private equity financings.
Sean graduated with honors from the University of Illinois with a BS in Finance. He is currently pursuing his MBA at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Ryan M. Brady - Senior Analyst
Prior to joining Prairie Capital in August 2007, Ryan Brady was an Analyst in the Consumer and Business Services Group in the Investment Banking Division of CIBC World Markets, focusing on mergers and acquisitions advisory, and debt and equity financings. Ryan graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Finance.

Jeff McIntosh joined Prairie Capital in August 2008. Prior to joining Prairie, Jeff was an Analyst focusing on mergers and acquisitions advisory in the Industrial Growth and Business Services group in the investment banking division of Piper Jaffray & Co. Jeff graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Accountancy.

Jane S. Fiedler - Director of Administration
Ms. Fiedler has been associated with Prairie Capital since its inception. She prepares investor communications, manages the marketing database, provides administrative support and manages the everyday activities of the office. Prior to joining Prairie Capital, Ms. Fiedler provided lending administrative support in the Correspondent Banking Lending Division of American National Bank & Trust Company.
Ms. Fiedler graduated from Dominican University (formerly Rosary College) in River Forest, Illinois with a double major of International Business and French. She also holds the Certificat Pratique de Francais Commercial et Economique de la Chambre de Commerce et D'Industrie de Paris.

Holly Lane - Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining Prairie Capital in 1999, Ms. Lane was Chief Financial Officer and part owner of Affy Tapple, L.L.C., a Chicago-based producer of caramel apples.
Previously, Ms. Lane worked at Sara Lee Corporation performing financial due diligence and special project work for the corporation. Assisting in the acquisition of three international hosiery companies and four domestic food manufacturers, Ms. Lane pinpointed key business issues, potential deal breakers and negotiated purchase price and terms on selected deals.
Ms. Lane holds a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management with concentrations in finance, economics, marketing and management strategy. Ms. Lane is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Barbara Sherlock - Controller
Barbara Sherlock joined Prairie Capital in 2007. Prior to joining Prairie, Barbara was a financial analyst for Smith Amundsen, LLC, a mid-sized Chicago law firm. Previously, Barbara was an Accounting Manager for Access Financial Group, a financial services company focused on retail brokerage, funeral trust accounting, and 401k plan administration.ÝBarbara holds a BA in accounting from St. Anselm College, in Manchester, NH.

Melissa J. Nedell - Office Administration
Melissa has been with Prairie Capital since 2005. Melissa assists with daily administrative duties, manages travel and supports the team of investment professionals. Melissa holds a B.F.A in acting from the University of Connecticut and an M.F.A in acting from Indiana University.
