Prairie Capital recently partnered with executive Chris Drescher and senior management to acquire Cantor BioConnect, Seraplex and Dx Biosamples to form a leading platform in the biopharma and diagnostics industries (the “Company”).
Headquartered in Southern California, the Company provides biospecimens and contract research organization (“CRO”) services to blue-chip biopharma and diagnostics customers across the world. The Company is known for rapidly procuring difficult-to-find biospecimens such as blood, blood-derived components, cells, biofluids and tissue.
The Company’s addressable market opportunity is approximately $5 billion and projected to grow over the next several years due to increased demand for biospecimens. These products are mission-critical inputs to assays used for control test kits, diagnostic device development, pre-clinical drug discovery and clinical trials. The rise of precision medicine and recent regulatory developments create a significant tailwind for human-derived remnant biospecimens. The Company is well positioned to capitalize on the various market opportunities due to its complementary product offering, value-added CRO services, swift turnaround time and tailored customer service.
Prairie Capital partnered with Chris and senior management to accelerate the growth of the Company through company-building investments in human capital, sales and marketing, technology, infrastructure, new products and add-on acquisitions.
